This post will be all about my blogging performance for my fourth month of blogging.
Blogging Goals for February
My blogging goals for February were simple:
- Boosting page views – ACHIEVED
- Committing to my content schedule – ACHIEVED
Commitment Schedule VS Actual Work Done
Here’s the content schedule I have planned compared to the work done for February:
Commitment Schedule | Actual Work Done |
1 New Blog Post per week Update 2 Old Blog Posts per week | 11 Blog Posts – 6 Old, 5 New |
3 Tweets per day | 87 Tweets |
1 Facebook posts per day | 34 Facebook Posts |
1 Tiktok per day | 30 Tiktok Posts |
3 IG Reels per week | 15 IG Reels + 1 IG Post |
Yup, I know… I have overperformed again 😉
As you can tell, I have stepped up efforts on TikTok and took a step back with new blog content. The reason behind this is that
- I feel that it will be a bad move if I don’t go on TikTok to promote my brand especially when I know that my ideal target audience will be there.
- I want to improve the way I write blogs and improve my ranking on Google Search Engine and SEO this month before I start writing new content for the readers. – As you have seen in the above section, this was so WORTH IT.
What’s New in February?
This month, I tried 2 new things – Going into Google Search Console and taking blogging courses.
Google Search Console
This has been a huge life savior for my blog. For months now, my blog’s pageview has been stagnant and I feel like I am not having the breakthrough I want.
Before starting my blog, I came across many videos from experienced bloggers sharing that blogging is a long game and in the first few months, you will find that nothing is moving.
I launched my blog in November and after 3 months, my blog performance is still not up to expectations and I feel that something needs to CHANGE.
Therefore, I decided to look into Google Search Console where I was introduced to a whole new world.
Just look at the HUGE improvement in impressions on the Google Search Engine.
I was excited to see that my blog is finally being shown to more people and that is such a great win.
The more times it is shown, the higher the probability that readers will click in to read, and the faster I can hit the pageviews and get approved by Google Adsense.
There were 2 main things I did in Google Search Console:
- Added Sitemaps so that it will be easier for Google to index my website pages
- Inspect all my current blog posts to make sure that they are indexed.
Currently, 28 of my pages are indexed. Take a look at the relationship between the impressions and the number of pages indexed.
When I started to see results, I made it a habit to index every new blog post that I published so that I could accelerate the process of Google finding the new article and indexing it.
Courses
In February, I took the leap of faith and invested in Perfecting Blogging courses from bySophiaLee.
I enrolled in the Beginner’s Blogging Bundle Course which includes Perfecting Blogging and Perfecting Pinterest. I love how she conducted the lessons and a lot of tools that she is using are free of charge which is perfect for me. She started her blogging journey when she was in school and still manages to be successful in the blogging name. Her background was so similar to mine and I am glad that I invested in this.

In Perfecting Blogging, she went through in detail how to write a post, the blog format, the SEO, the images, and my favourite of them all – deciding what content to write.
Don’t take my word for it, look at the statistics. Even though February is a much shorter month than January, the HUGE improvement in Engagement rate and Views per user was fascinating to look at.
I only started to make the changes mid-month and I could already see the results.
It makes me wonder to what extent is “blogging being a long game” true when I am already seeing the results in less than a month. Not complaining at all, just curious 😉
In Perfecting Pinterest, Sophia went through the exact techniques she took to get millions of views on her Pinterest account including keyword research, posting schedule, and many more.
I was skeptical at first, but I tried it anyway. And wow, take a moment and look at the data…
- Engagement improved from 197 to 348
- Outbound clicks increased from 8 to 19
- The number of saves skyrocketed from 11 to 161!! (WOW)
Not to mention, I only applied the strategy after I took the course in mid-February, and don’t forget, February is a much shorter month than March.
The Pinterest Strategy works!
For those of you who are afraid to invest in courses, I hear you! I had a bad experience with investing in courses before and know this – you shouldn’t penalise yourself for investing in another course that you know will help you out.
Now, I simply use a different approach when I decide to invest – Invest in the low-ticket item first, before going straight for the big-ticket items.
The low-ticket item will usually give you an idea of what content will be going through in detail in the big-ticket item. In this case, I did purchase the “Beginner’s Guide to Blogging” which cost $15 before I launched my blog, and have been following Sophia for quite some time. The low-ticket item usually tells you the WHAT and the big-ticket item will go through the HOW.
It was only after 3 months that I decided to invest in her courses which I am super glad I did.

Blogging Learnings for February
After the amazing month, I know that I have a lot to work on. The good news is I know where I can improve, thanks to the blogging courses I invested in.
These are the main learnings:
- SEO is EXTREMELY important when it comes to blogging. You should not skip keyword research as it is a MAJOR part of the world of blogging. More time should be spent on mastering SEO.
- Make changes to my content strategy in my socials. Despite spending lots of time and committing to the content schedule for my socials, there is no significant growth yet. Something is WRONG and needs to CHANGE.
- My new Pinterest and Blogging Strategy works. Keep going!
Overall, it has been a GREAT month. If nothing changes, nothing changes. I am glad I took the leap of faith and let the results show.
This article is all about my blogging performance for February.
I hope you learned a few things or so. See you next month ~
Jaslyn
