Step by Step Instructions

I will be dividing this crochet bear glasses tutorial into 5 sections:
- The Big Picture
- Nose
- Spectacle Holder
- Ears
- Putting It Together
Let’s begin!
The Big Picture
Before we dive into the pattern, let’s break down how this crochet eyeglass holder is constructed.
If you set aside the cuteness for a second, you will notice that this holder is simply made of two semi-circles and a rectangle.

- The rectangle section is the no-increase zone.
- The semi-circle sections are the increase zones.
- We will keep the stitch count the same in the no-increase zone while increasing stitches in the semi-circle sections to create the shape.

The nose is attached in the centre and takes up about 6 stitches, while each ear takes up 3 stitches.
Nose

Let’s start with the bear’s nose!
- MR, 6 SC
- (SC, V) x3
- (2 SC, V) x3
- 12 SC
- BLO 6A, cut yarn, and leave a long tail for sewing.
You can add scrap yarn or stuffing to give it shape. Then, sew the nose with black yarn and close it up using a yarn needle.
Spectacle Holder
This is the main part of the crochet spectacle holder. We will start in the middle and work outward.

1: 18 CH
2: 17 SC, 3 SC, 16 SC, 2 SC
3: V, 16 SC, 3V, 16 SC, 2V
4: (SC, V), 16 SC, (SC, V) x3, 16 SC, (SC, V) x2
5: (2 SC, V), 16 SC, (2 SC, V) x3, 16 SC, (2 SC, V) x2
6: (3 SC, V), 16 SC, (3 SC, V) x3, 16 SC, (3 SC, V) x2
7: (4 SC, V), 16 SC, (4 SC, V) x3, 16 SC, (4 SC, V) x2
After completing the 7th round, cut the yarn.

For the 8th round, we will start from the no-increase area. Count 5 stitches from the first stitch and begin the next round there.

The idea is to leave space for the bear’s nose.
8: FLO 63 SC
9: 63 SL ST
The nose should fit snugly into the space!
Ears

The ears will be attached from the first stitch of the no-increase area on both sides, taking up 3 stitches each.
1st Chain: 2 CH
2nd Chain: 6 DC, 2 CH
3rd Chain: SL ST
Repeat on the other side to complete the cute little ears.
Putting It Together
For the final step, warm up your glue gun and attach the safety eyes and nose to the crochet glasses holder.
