2: CH, 6V, SL ST
3: CH, 2 (2 SC, V), do 5 chains, go back 2 chains, 3 SC, SL ST (tail), 2 (2 SC, V), SL ST
4: CH, SC, 4 DC Puff stitch, 13 SC, 4 DC Puff Stitch, SL ST

13: CH, 4 (2 SC, A), SL ST
14: CH, 6 A
Leave a long tail and sew the hole closed.
Step 4: Putting it all together
Now, let’s assemble your mini crochet dachshund.

Start by attaching the ears to the head. If you left a long tail, sew each ear onto row 7 of the head, spacing them about 6 stitches apart. For extra security, add a dab of glue using your glue gun.

Then, take one safety eye and glue it onto the snout to create the nose.

Next, attach the head to the body. Line up rows 6–9 of the head with rows 11–13 of the body. Use your long tail to sew it in place, and add glue if you want it to be extra secure.
And you are done!
You can display your crochet sausage dog on your desk or turn it into a crochet dachshund keychain for your bag. This simple dachshund crochet pattern is perfect for gifting or keeping for yourself!
