Step by Step Instructions
I have divided this crochet cake keychain tutorial into 4 easy sections:
- Tiramisu Cake
- Whipped Cream
- Berry
- Assembling the Tiramisu Cake
Tiramisu Cake
Let’s start with the base. This tiramisu cake is made of layers – cake and cream. The trick is learning how to crochet a square, then using it in different colours to create the stacked look.
Here’s the crochet square pattern:

1: MR, 8 SC
2: CH, 4 (W, SC), SL ST
3: CH, SC, W, 3 (3 SC, W), 2 SC, SL ST
4: CH, 2 SC, W, 3 (5 SC, W), 2 SC, SL ST
5: CH, 3 SC, TW, 3 (7 SC, TW), 2 SC, SL ST
6: CH, 4 SC, TW, 3 (9 SC, TW), 2 SC

You will need:
- 4 cream pieces (in beige)
- 5 cake pieces (in brown)

To add volume, stitch 2 cream squares together using slip stitch to make them thicker. Do the same for 4 of the cake pieces. You will end up with:
- 2 thick creams
- 2 thick cakes
- 1 thin cake
Now stack them from bottom to top like this: Thick cake → cream → thin cake → cream → thick cake

Ta-da! You got your tiramisu cake layers.
Whipped Cream
Now for the whipped cream topping – super simple and super cute.

Use white yarn and do:
MR, 8 DC, SL ST
Make 4 of these.
Berry
Next, let’s make the berries. These add that perfect pop of colour.

Use red yarn and follow this pattern:
MR, 5 DC, 2 chains, SL ST
Cut the yarn and switch to green.
Then, starting from the first chain, make 5 uncompleted single crochet stitches and pull through all at once. That gives it the little berry shape!
Make 5 of these.
Assembling the Tiramisu Cake
Now that all your parts are ready, let’s put it all together!
- Glue the cake layers together to form the base.
- Add the whipped cream on top.
- Finish with the berries.
And that’s it – your crochet tiramisu cake is ready to serve.

Whether you turn it into a crochet cake keychain or display it as a miniature dessert, it is guaranteed to bring joy (and zero sugar crashes).
