Canva is like my virtual assistant, handling all my creative needs, including designing social media posts, and Pinterest pins, creating digital products, and even ad copy. I started with the free version but eventually upgraded to the Pro version.
The price is incredibly reasonable considering how extensively I rely on it for my business and marketing needs. If you are running a business or doing a lot of marketing work, I highly recommend subscribing. It’s essentially your virtual creative manager.
When it comes to creating reels, course tutorial videos, and ad copy, Capcut is my go-to tool. I used to use Premiere Pro but switched to Capcut because it’s mobile-friendly, has an extensive music library, and user-friendly editing interface & tools. The best part is that I am still using the free version!
If you know me, you know I’m all about data. Metricool is an all-in-one platform that helps me track data from all my platforms, including my website and social media (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest), as well as my ad campaign performance. This tool has saved me more than 20 hours per month in data consolidation, allowing me to export all the data I need from one platform and spend more time analyzing and improving my business. The most compelling reason to use Metricool is that it’s FREE.
Project 1 Million in 1 Year
business course
This is the number one course I recommend if you are thinking of starting an online business. What I love about it is that it provides the exact blueprint you need to build your business, with step-by-step detailed tutorials. It also offers all the resources you need so you won’t get stuck. Additionally, it teaches you skills and techniques to start closing deals even before you finish building the business. The word scripts are incredibly useful if you are not confident in sales!
Moreover, you gain access to a community that I absolutely LOVE. You can connect with like-minded individuals who have their own businesses and support you on your self-employed journey, so you won’t feel alone.
Perfecting Blogging & Perfecting Pinterest
blogging course
If you’ve been thinking about starting a blog that generates income every month, this is the blogging course I highly recommend. I invested in the Beginner’s Blogging Bundle in February 2024, and my blog was monetized by March 2024. How fast is that?
If you want to get your blog approved by Google AdSense faster and learn the RIGHT way to blog so your efforts don’t go to waste, check out Sophia Lee’s courses.
Reel Impact: IG Growth + Monetization Formula
Instagram resource
Instagram is one of the social media platforms I am focusing heavily on, as my vision is to build a loyal customer base. IG is one of the best community-building platforms, so I invested in this Instagram growth guide, which has been incredibly helpful. It covers in detail how to do content research, find your target audience’s pain points, develop an SEO strategy, and create viral reels.
I implemented these strategies almost immediately. I purchased this at the end of May, and by June, I saw significant results.
WordPress
My blog is run through a self-hosted WordPress blog, and this is the ONLY way I recommend doing it. When I first started my blogging journey, all the monetized bloggers I came across recommended WordPress. Find out how to start a blog in this post – Step-by-Step Guide: How to Start a Blog for Beginners
Bluehost
From the blogging course I took and my research, Bluehost is one of the most affordable ways to start a self-hosted blog. I still use Bluehost as my host. It’s rated as one of the best hosting companies, and I recommend it to all my readers who want to start a blog. I provide all the details on how to set up your blog with WordPress and Bluehost in this post: Step-by-Step Guide: How to Start a Blog for Beginners.
Website Themes
I love 17th Avenue Designs! Just look at the aesthetics of my blog. They have many options to choose from and a detailed guide on how to install the theme on your website. In fact, I set it up myself using their guide, and it was a breeze. Here are some of my favorite themes from 17th Avenue:
Vivienne Theme
This is the current theme that I am using on my blog.
Willow Theme
If you are looking for a soft but modern look, this is the one!
Amelia Theme
I loved that this theme has 2 menus which is more versatile.
Legal Bundle
I can’t emphasize this enough: it is extremely important to make sure your blog is legally covered. I use all of A Self Guru’s products to do this.
Amira, at A Self Guru, is a lawyer who creates products for bloggers, such as privacy policies, disclaimers, terms and conditions, and more. She sells them at a very reasonable price and provides customization options for your website. I purchased the Starter Legal Bundle.
Kit
Kit is what I currently use for all my emails. Considering the current state of The LILI Path, I needed a comprehensive email system that is both affordable and meets my needs.
After extensive research on the best email providers, I chose Kit. For only $12.50 per month, I can grow my email list, create attractive email templates, collect leads, segment my subscribers, track email statistics, and create email automation sequences. I love it so far!
