Step by Step Instructions
I will be dividing this crochet earphone bag tutorial into 3 sections:
- Carrot
- Leaves
- Assembling the carrot and leaves
Carrot
Let’s start by crocheting the carrot, which forms the main body of the bag.

1: MR, 6 SC

2: CH, 6 V, SL ST

3: CH, 12 SC, SL ST

4: CH, (SC, V) x6, SL ST

5: CH, 18 SC, SL ST

6: CH, (SC, V, SC) x6, SL ST

7 to 10: 24 SC

11: CH, (3 SC, V) x6, SL ST

12 to 13: 30 SC

14: CH, 3 SC, 9 CH, 10 K, 17 SC, SL ST

15: CH, 3 SC, 10 SC, 17 SC, SL ST
(The 10 SC will be in the 9 CH you crocheted in row 14)

16: CH, (3 SC, A) x6, SL ST

17: CH, (SC, A, SC) x6, SL ST

18: CH, (SC, A) x6, SL ST
Leaves
Now let’s move on to the leaves. I made two sizes—long and short. The difference lies in the number of rows in the middle.

1: MR, 5 SC

2: SC, V, 2 SC, V

3: 7 SC

- For the shorter leaves, crochet 3 to 5 rows (each row has 7 SC).
- For the longer leaves, crochet 4 to 6 rows (each row has 7 SC).

For the last row of both sizes, finish with:
SC, A, 2 SC, A, SL ST, and leave a long tail for sewing.
You can add a little stuffing to the leaves if you would like extra volume.
Assembling the Carrot and Leaves
Finally, it is time to put everything together. You can either sew the leaves onto the carrot using the long tail you left earlier, or glue them in place. Personally, I prefer doing both for added durability.
And there you have it – an adorable DIY carrot earphone bag! I have sew on some white lines for the finishing touches 😉
