Step-by-Step Instructions
To make things easy, I will be dividing this crochet mushroom amigurumi pattern into 5 sections:
- Pumpkin
- Leaf
- Pumpkin Stalk
- Mushroom Stem
- Putting It Together
1: Pumpkin

1: 11 CH, go back 2 chains, 2 SC, 2 HDC, 5 DC
2: 2 CH, flip, BLO (5 DC, 2 HDC, 2 SC, SL ST)
3: CH, flip, BLO (SL ST, 2 SC, 2 HDC, 5 DC)
Repeat rows 2 and 3 for 19 more times.

Next, continue at the circumference for 40 SC.

After that, sew the middle closed.

Then hide the yarn behind. No need to cut it off. These yarn threads will give the crochet pumpkin mushroom its shape without adding too much stuffing.
2: Leaf

12 CH, go back 2 chains, 11 SL ST
Leave a long tail for attaching.
3: Pumpkin Stalk

1: MR, 4 SC, SL ST
2 to 3: CH, 4 SC, SL ST
4: CH, 2 V, 2 SC, SL ST
5: CH, 6 SC, SL ST
6: CH, 6 V, SL ST
7: CH, 12 SC, SL ST
Cut the yarn and hide the tail.
4: Mushroom Stem

1: MR, 6 SC, SL ST
2: CH, 6 V, SL ST
3: CH, 6 (SC, V), SL ST

10: CH, 2 (7 SC, A), SL ST
11: CH, 4 (2 SC, A), SL ST
12 to 14: CH, 12 SC, SL ST
Add stuffing at this point.
15: CH, 4 (SC, A), SL ST
16 to 17: CH, 8 SC, SL ST
18: CH, 2 (2 SC, A), SL ST

Now, continue with the gills portion of the small crochet mushroom.
19: CH, 6V, SL ST
20: CH, 6 (SC, V), SL ST
21: CH, 6 (2 SC, V), SL ST
22: CH, 8 (2 SC, V), SL ST

24: CH, 8 (3 SC, V), SL ST
25: CH, 40 SC, SL ST
Leave a long tail for sewing.
5: Putting It Together
Finally, it is time to assemble the pumpkin mushroom.
Step 1: Sew the stem to the pumpkin cap.
You can also apply glue on the other side to make it extra secure.

Step 2: Attach the leaf.
Do a double knot on the other side to hold it in place.

Step 3: Sew the stem to the mushroom cap.
Add stuffing as you go to give it that full, rounded shape. Sew through the back loops only for both pieces.

And this is the final look!
