4: Put It Together
Finally, it is time to assemble your lemon. Follow these steps to bring everything together.
Step 1: Attach the legs

Use the long tail you left for the legs and sew it onto the lemon. I like to sew it where I closed up each round so the stitches are not visible to the eye.
Step 2: Attach the leaves

To make it more secure, use the long tail you left to sew the ends of the leaf onto the lemon. Once that is done, use the hot glue gun and glue the leaves onto the lemon. Do not glue it all the way through, just halfway so the crochet lemon does not look too flat.
Step 3: Add the eyes and mouth

Last but not least, glue the safety eyes onto the lemon and sew the mouth using a black yarn. This small detail is what gives your lemon crochet its Jellycat-inspired personality.
