Learn to make a tulip bouquet pipe cleaner.

Looking for a fun and quick craft to do over the weekend that is super Pinterest worthy? This tulip bouquet pipe cleaner tutorial is exactly what you need.
I made this tulip bouquet for my friend’s 21st birthday and for Mother’s Day, and they loved it. As someone who loves DIY crafts, trust me when I say this is one of the fastest ways to make a flower bouquet this size.
In this post, I will be sharing the step by step instructions and tutorial for the tulip bouquet using pipe cleaner, so you can make them easily at home. This is one of the easiest pipe cleaner flowers to recreate, even if you are new to pipe cleaner diy projects.
Materials needed
I bought mine as a DIY kit, so all these materials came together. If you already have them at home or want to buy them individually, these are the materials included in the kit.
- 200 Pink pipe cleaners
- 100 Green pipe cleaners
- 30 Green Flower Stems
- 1 Roll of Green Tape
- 2 Glue sticks
- Glue gun
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, prepare the pieces for your pipe cleaner tulip. Here is everything you will need for one full tulip stalk:
- Pink flower petals x6
- Leaves x2
Here is a written instruction so you can refer to it easily.

Once you have all the pieces ready, it is time to put everything together. To assemble one tulip stalk, heat up your glue gun first to make the process easier. Watch the video tutorial above to visualize these steps better, then follow along below.
- Find 3 pink petals with longer ends and fold the ends inwards.
- Glue these petals onto the flower stem using a glue gun.
- Stagger the next 3 pink petals and glue them on to form the second layer.
- Next, take the green tape and start from the tulip flower and work your way down.
- As you reach the middle of the stalk, start attaching the leaves by taping around the stem part of each leaf.
- Continue twisting down until you reach the end of the stalk, then work your way up a little before cutting it off.
All you have to do is repeat steps 1 to 6 above, depending on how many tulip stalks you want in your bouquet. For this tutorial, I made a total of 10.
A little trick I do is to make everything in batches before gluing them together, to be more time-efficient. This makes the whole pipe cleaner flower instructions process go by so much quicker, especially once you get the hang of folding the petals.
To make it more presentable, I bought flower sleeves I can slot the tulip stalks into and spray some perfume to get rid of the glue smell and make it smell better. You can also put them in pretty vases. The presentation is entirely up to you.
Here is the final look.
