Learn to crochet a mini candy.

Looking for a quick and fun crochet project to pick up this week? This crochet mini candy pattern is exactly what you need.
Inspired by those rectangular wrapped candy pieces, I added googly eyes to turn them into adorable little characters, just like candy that came to life. They are small, satisfying to make, and honestly way too cute to put down.

Step-by-Step Instructions
I will be dividing this mini candy crochet pattern into 5 steps.
Step 1: Eyes
First, let’s start with the white portion of the eyes. Make 2 of these.

MR, 8 SC, SL ST
Leave a long tail for sewing. Set both pieces aside.
Step 2: Sweet
Next, let’s work on the main body of the candy.

1: 21 CH
When you reach the end, attach it to the first chain using SC.
2 to 12: CH, 21 SC, SL ST

To seal one side, pinch the edges together and work 5 repeats of: 3 CH, go back 2 chains, SC, HDC, K, SL ST.
Cut the yarn and hide the end.
Step 3: Attach the eyes
Now, attach the white eye pieces to the front of the sweet.

Thread both long tails through the body of the sweet and secure them with a double knot on the inside. No need to worry about the tails as they will act as extra stuffing inside the candy. You can also add a little stuffing at this point to shape the body before moving to the next step.
Step 4: Close the end
After that, seal the remaining open end using the same method as before: 5 repeats of 3 CH, go back 2 chains, SC, HDC, K, SL ST.

Cut the yarn and hide the end neatly.
Step 5: Final Touches
Finally, it is time to bring your candy to life!

Use a hot glue gun to secure the white eye pieces firmly onto the sweet. Then, glue the black safety eyes onto the white circles. I like to position them slightly to the side for extra personality, but feel free to adjust the placement based on your own preference.

And that is it! Your kawaii candy crochet is complete.
